Subway staff member assaulted in coastal Yorkshire town

Officers are appealing for information about the incident at the Subway sandwich shop in Westborough, Scarborough, at about 2.10pm on Wednesday (August 12).

North Yorkshire Police said it involved a man and woman who had been together but entered the premises separately when the incident happened.

The force is urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.

“We’re particularly appealing for any eyewitnesses to come forward and speak with the police,” a police spokesperson said.
