THE occupants of a vehicle involved in an early morning North Yorkshire village crash fled the scene.

The county's fire and rescue service said they were called to Fox Lane in Chapel Haddlesey at about 12.30am today (Friday, July 31).
The road runs off the A19 and into the village which is south of Selby.
A North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "A crew from Selby responded to reports of a single road traffic collision.
"Crews isolated the high voltage and 12V supply to the vehicle.
"The occupiers were out on arrival and had left the scene.
"Crews left the incident in the hands of the police."
