A major countryside show is close to selling out as excitement builds for this summer’s event.

Only a limited number of tickets remain for the 167th Great Yorkshire Show.

Wednesday and Thursday are already sold out, with Tuesday and Friday expected to follow shortly.

David Tite, Yorkshire Agricultural Society Manager, said: “The demand for tickets this year has been absolutely phenomenal and we are delighted to offer the opportunity for more visitors to enjoy the Show.

"We would advise anyone who would like to come to make sure they book their tickets now, and we look forward to welcoming you next week.”

The daily capacity for the event has been increased from 35,000 to 37,500, still well below pre-2021 figures, when the busiest days attracted 55,000 visitors.

Visitors are encouraged to use public transport.

The show funds free double-decker shuttle buses in partnership with The Harrogate Bus Company, operating every 10 minutes from Harrogate Bus Station to the showground.

Adam Emmott, General Manager at The Harrogate Bus Company, said: "We’re delighted to once again partner with the Yorkshire Agricultural Society to provide free shuttle buses to and from the Great Yorkshire Show."

To book tickets, which are £36.50 for adults and £13 for children, visit: www.greatyorkshireshow.co.uk/ticket-information
