Farms will be powered by new smart solutions at this year’s Great Yorkshire Show.
The Agri-Innovation Village, running from Tuesday, July 14 to Friday, July 17, will showcase cutting-edge technology to help future-proof agriculture.
Among the exhibits are Archimedes spiral-style wind turbines, biomethane fuel for farm machinery, and a ‘smart’ weather forecasting app.
CatchmentAI's Probcast app will offer optimal weather windows for farming tasks.
Bennamann's modular bio-CNG refuelling station will also be on show, converting on-farm biogas into fuel for methane-powered tractors.
The village, powered by a hydrogen unit from TCP Group, is hosted by the Farmer Scientist Network at the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.

Dr Dave George, Chair of the Farmer Scientist Network, said: “It’s an exciting time for innovation in agriculture.
“Challenges like we have seen around fuel supplies really sharpen the focus on how the industry can navigate global events, and the Agri-Innovation Village shows just how far technology is marching on to make a difference at farm level.”
Other features include a British-built hydrogen fuel cell-powered Hilux prototype, and Black Soldier Fly breeds farmed as alternative protein sources.
