The Aldi store in Commercial Street Norton is due to open this autumn.
Aldi has submitted an application to North Yorkshire Council to be allowed to sell alcohol from 6am until midnight.
The application is for the Aldi store at 27 Commercial Street, and is for the sale of alcohol for consumption off the premises.
The application, submitted under the Licensing Act 2003, is open for public consultation until July 7.
The Norton store is one of 15 the supermarket chain plans to open 16 new stores across the UK in the coming months.
The Germany-based retailer has more than 1,080 UK stores and is pushing ahead with continued expansion plans to grow its shop estate across the country.
The plans are part of long-term ambitions by Aldi to expand to 1,500 sites across the UK.

A notice from Freeths LLP Solicitors, dated June 9, states that it is an offence for anyone to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with a licence application, with the maximum fine on summary conviction being Level 5.
The consultation period for the application began on June 17 and will end on the deadline of July 7.
The public are advised to ensure their responses are in line with the notice to be legally considered.
