LOYAL supporters of a North Yorkshire town's summer-long celebration of live music braved the elements and turned out for the latest show.
Despite cool winds and frequent afternoon showers, Easingwold's Summer of Music programme went ahead as planned as spectators sheltered in cafes, bars and covered areas around the town's Market Place while enjoying the performances last Saturday.
Easingwold Town Council was able to make good use of its two new large canopies, purchased through a successful grant from the York and North Yorkshire Mayor's Vibrant and Sustainable High Streets Fund.
The canopies helped to audiences dry while they enjoyed the music, and will also keep the sun off spectators when warmer weather returns.

The Blue Light Theatre Company kicked off the entertainment, bringing together NHS Ambulance Service staff and performers from across the York area.
They entertained the audience with a varied selection of songs, including favourites such as The Sound of Music, I Will Follow Him, and Don't Stop Me Now, alongside numbers from their forthcoming production, From Bingo to Broadway, which will be staged in Easingwold later this month.
Following a short interval, the audience was then treated to the main event of the afternoon as Easingwold's own songstress, Jessa Liversidge, took to the stage.
Jessa performed a programme of songs, many drawn from her popular theatre productions Song Birds and Tapestry of Life performed in York and the wider area.
Highlights included Carole King's Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow and I Feel the Earth Move, Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You, and a nod to her Scottish roots with Sunshine on Leith, by The Proclaimers and Perfect by Fairground Attraction.
Well known throughout the area, Jessa leads several popular 'singing for all' daytime groups in Easingwold and York, as well as her community choirs in Easingwold and Helmsley.
Members of the Easingwold Community Choir, joined by guests from the Helmsley choir, were introduced to the audience and performed a number of arrangements and harmonies, including a rendition of Peter Gabriel's The Book of Love.
The Summer of Music programme continues in two weeks' time with the welcome return of York’s Jiving Licence, who will be bringing their mix of 1950s and 1960s rock 'n' roll classics to Easingwold.
