A day of family fun is set to take place in Slingsby later this month.

The Slingsby Duck Race and Family Fun Day will take place on Saturday, June 27, from 11am until 3pm.

There will be a range of activities for all the family to enjoy, including face painting, tin can alley, hook-a-duck, beat the goalie, inflatables, a tombola, and a raffle.

There will also be a BBQ and refreshments provided by Andrew Pern, chef-owner of Michelin-starred The Star Inn at Harome.

The event is free to attend.

People can sponsor a duck for £2 each or three for £5, with the first-place duck winning £50, and there will also be a prize for the last duck.
