A musical tribute to Julie Andrews is returning to Pickering this month.

Acclaimed soprano Nicola Mills will perform A Spoonful of Julie at the Kirk Theatre on Sunday, February 15.

Mills will celebrate the life and career of Andrews, featuring some of the classic songs from The Sound of Music and Mary Poppins.

The show was co-created with former Cats musical director Stuart Barham and features pianist Maria King.

Mills trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and has performed internationally with Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Dutch National Opera, and Opera Monte Carlo.

She is also the founder of Opera for the People, an award-winning project that aims to make classical music more accessible.

Promising a night of nostalgia and entertainment, A Spoonful of Julie is designed to offer a fresh take on Julie Andrews' legendary career.

Tickets are £15 and available from www.kirktheatre.co.uk or from the box office on 01751 574833.
