A record-breaking charity auction has raised thousands of pounds for charity.

The event, organised by York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity, brought in £6,774 for the Tiny Lives Appeal, which supports improvements to the Neonatal Unit at York Hospital.

Emma Sargent, fundraising manager at York & Scarborough Hospitals Charity, said: "The support for this year's auction has been incredible, and we are so grateful to everyone who took part.

"It is fantastic to see our community come together to raise such a wonderful amount for the Tiny Lives Appeal."

Prizes included a luxury holiday to Mallorca for six, spa breaks, sporting events, and fine dining experiences.

The charity thanked businesses, suppliers, and supporters for donating prizes and placing bids.
