North Yorkshire Council announced temporary measures affecting several roads.
A 30mph speed limit will be enforced from Nunnington to East Ness and Slingsby to East Ness from October 29, 2025, to February 28, 2026, due to Yorkshire Water works.
The max duration of this Order is until March 29, 2026, with the restriction put into effect by notices and signs.

Stamford Bridge to Buttercrambe Bridge will be closed for two weeks between November 3 and November 28, 2025, due to works.
Access to premises will still be allowed, and traffic signs will indicate the closure period.
An alternative route will be signposted, and enquiries can be directed to the Customer Service Centre on 0300 1312131.
Woodhouse Farm Road in North Grimston will also be closed for a temporary period of four weeks between November 3, 2025, and March 31, 2026, due to cattle grid repair works.
As with the Buttercrambe closure, access to premises will be maintained, and traffic signs will inform the closure period.
A local alternative route will be signposted.
Woodlands Road in Rillington will be closed between November 19 and November 28, 2025 (subject to access to premises), due to fuse upgrade, excavate to locate cable including 2 LV joint bays in footway, 21m of open cut trench in footway and 6m road crossing to joint new cable and reinstate excavations to alter supply works.
The maximum duration of this order is until May 11, 2026.
As with the other closures, access to premises will be maintained, and local alternative routes will be signposted.
Castlegate in Malton is set to be shut for two weeks between November 18 and December 6, 2025, for carriageway resurfacing works.
The same conditions apply regarding access and signposting.
Finally, the council has also announced plans to amend parking provisions within the district of Ryedale.
The proposed order will be made under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004.
