Care home residents in Malton have taken part in a memory walk to raise awareness and support for people living with dementia.
Rivermead Care Home in Norton organised the walk on October 12 at Temple Newsham House in Leeds, inviting the local community to support them.
Two residents, Brian and Ken, joined staff, relatives, and supporters for the event, which raised awareness for Alzheimer’s and dementia.
A General Manager at Rivermead care home said: "At our home, we care for a lot of people living with dementia and provide support for them and their families.
"We have a Memory Lane Community, an environment purposely designed to help those with dementia live active and meaningful lives."
The group included Rivermead staff members Layla and Nicola, deputy manager Chloe and her daughters.
Rivermead Care Home is part of Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers.
The home supports up to 71 residents with both long-term and respite care options.
