Something special is coming to Old Malton this autumn — and for anyone considering care for themselves or a loved one, now is the perfect time to take a closer look.

Manor Park Care Home, the latest addition to the Sandstone Care Group, is opening in September 2025 and will offer high-quality residential, nursing, and dementia care in a thoughtfully designed, purpose-built setting.

Nestled in a peaceful location in the heart of Old Malton, the home has been created with comfort, community, and peace of mind at its core.

Visitors are invited to meet the home manager, view the plans and interiors, and start conversations about what life at Manor Park will offer.

With 80 stylish en-suite bedrooms — many opening directly onto landscaped gardens — Manor Park is designed to feel both elegant and homely. Communal spaces include an activities room, club lounge, café bar, and a hair and beauty salon — all aimed at fostering a sense of comfort, social connection and community.

Daily life will be rich with opportunities to connect and engage, from freshly prepared meals made on-site to a varied activities programme including arts, crafts, gardening, gentle exercise, and outings. Every detail is being considered to support residents in living well, with dignity and joy.

If you’re starting to think about care — for yourself or a loved one — the team at Manor Park is happy to offer advice, answer questions, and arrange a personal introduction to the home. There’s no pressure, just friendly guidance and information to help you plan ahead with confidence.

Recruitment Open Days – Join the Team

As part of the home’s preparations to open, Manor Park is also recruiting a brand-new team — and local people are invited to find out more at two recruitment open days on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th August, from 10am to 3pm.

These events are designed for anyone interested in working in care or joining the team in a supporting role. With nearly 100 new jobs being created, vacancies include carers, senior carers, housekeeping staff, kitchen assistants, chefs, maintenance staff, and activities co-ordinators.

Whether you’re experienced in care or looking for a fresh start in a rewarding sector, this is a chance to meet the team, learn more about the roles available, and understand what it’s like to work for Sandstone Care Group. Many roles don’t require previous experience — just the right values, including kindness, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Full training is provided, and there are opportunities for ongoing development and career progression within the organisation.

If you can’t make the open days, applications can also be made online at www.sandstonecare.co.uk/careers, or by emailing recruitment@sandstonecare.co.uk.
