Kemps Bookstore are delighted to welcome Daisy Buchanan in the first of many fantastic events planned for 2025.

Author of Insatiable and Careering, Daisy Buchanan is an award-winning journalist, author, broadcaster, and host of the You’re Booked podcast. Featuring original interviews with David Nicholls, Ruby Rare, and Emma Gannon among others, Daisy returns with Read Yourself Happy: How to Use Books to Ease Your Anxiety, inviting us to discover the literary worlds that have brought immense comfort and enabled her to unwind.

Between the cover, Daisy provides personally curated reading lists and over 200 book recommendations to help you process your emotions and find more peace with every page.

You can expect romantic literature from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet to Jilly Cooper’s Rivals, as Daisy explores love and relationship books, as well as delving into the world of classics, such as Little Women and Pride and Prejudice. In Read Yourself Happy, Daisy Buchanan combines her own journey, literary worlds and characters, and advice from experts to help you read yourself calmer, read yourself funnier, read yourself free and much more.

Join Daisy in conservation with Cindy at Kemps on February 18 as they celebrate reading as a way to soothe a busy mind and better understand the world and ourselves.

Owner of Kemps, Liz Kemp said: ‘We are thrilled to kick off our 2025 events programme with this really bookish evening with Daisy. The chat will be packed full of amazing book recommendations to help you read yourself happier through 2025. More exciting event announcements in the coming weeks but do join us for this first of many."
