The Ryedale branch of the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) has raised more than £950 through a street collection in Pickering Marketplace.
The collection was held as part of the branch's Wings Appeal, which raises money to support serving and former serving RAF personnel and their families.
Corporal Chamberlain, from Space Warning Squadron, joined ten branch members at RAF Fylingdales to raise the funds.
Further collections are planned for Helmsley and Malton.
The September fundraising campaign will culminate in a Battle of Britain concert by Malton White Star Band.
The concert will take place at St Peter’s Church Hall, in Norton, on Sunday, September 29, beginning at 2pm.
Tickets are available from Malton White Star Band members or RAFA members, or by calling 07919 344845.
Tickets cost £10 and include interval refreshments.
Under 16s tickets cost £6.
The Ryedale branch is celebrating 25 years since it was formed by amalgamating branches in Malton, Pickering, Helmsley, Thornton-le-Dale, and Kirkbymoorside.
The branch holds regular meetings at the Ham & Cheese in Scagglethorpe, with lunches and other social events held both at the club and at other venues in the area.
Membership is open to serving and ex-RAF personnel, as well as supporters who have not served in the RAF.
More information about membership is available by contacting chairman Allan Jones on 07747 825309.
