A LARGE knife has been seized by police in York.
North Yorkshire Police say officers safely disarmed a person in a crisis in the city on Monday (September 9).
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “An officer from the York city centre neighbourhood policing team negotiated the safe removal of a large knife from a person in mental health crisis today.
“Officers took time to listen and support the person and a plan was put in place for ongoing care by appropriate agencies.
“Our thoughts are with you.”
