The raider struck at 7.25pm yesterday (September 9) at Costcutter on Wains Grove, Woodthorpe.
He threatened staff before taking £130 from the till and leaving.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “This incident has caused distress for the staff in the store and a full investigation is underway.
“If you were nearby Wains Road on Saturday and saw anything or anyone suspicious then please let us know. Similarly, if you have any CCTV or doorbell footage then please review it and come forward if you saw anything.
