A THIEF has been stealing security camera parts in a York suburb.
North Yorkshire Police say that on August 21, in the early hours of the morning from 1am, a man tampered with three security cameras to properties in Clifton.
PC Fiona Wilding said: "The suspect male has also stolen parts of the security cameras.
"We are aware of targeted properties in Longfield Terrace and Grosvenor Terracebut there may be more.
"Have you been targeted? Do you have any footage of the suspect male?
"He is white, about 20-40 years wearing dark trousers with a reflective strip around the lower legs, khaki green style jacket and carrying a dark coloured osprey rucksack. He is wearing his hood up and a face covering.
"If you have any information regarding the above or any additional ring doorbell or security footage of the suspects please contact me on email: Fiona.Wilding@northyorkshire.police.uk. The crime reference number to quote is 12240151992.
"Please be vigilant and ensure windows and doors are secure when the property is empty and during the night and a reminder to check the settings/recordings on any CCTV or ring door bell cameras to ensure they are working."
