A crash on a major road in North Yorkshire has been cleared.
Earlier this afternoon the A1(M) northbound was partially blocked with slow traffic following a crash after junction 44 the A64 turning for York and Tadcaster.

Drivers were being asked to avoid the area if at all possible, but the crash has now been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
