Pickering and District Rotary Club is hosting a charity event next week to help adults with learning and physical disabilities.

The Club has organised the event at Spice 4U on February 18 to raise funds for Acorn Community Care based in Norton.

Rob Thomas, President of Pickering and District Rotary Club, said: "There will be excellent food with a selected choice of dishes all in the cause of raising funds for the Acorn Community who provide support for people with learning and physical disabilities.

"The community is based just outside Norton and will shortly be opening a facility in Pickering which is currently undergoing modernisation. Funds raised at this event will go towards this modernisation.

"Spice 4U on Hungate, Pickering are noted for their charitable works and will host this event on Sunday 18th February with three sittings: 12.30; 3.30 and 6.30pm. Together with enjoying delicious food there will also be the opportunity to win some prizes.

"Places usually fill quickly at our annual charity event, so book early if you want to get a place at a specific sitting."The price per head is £30.
