A barber shop has relocated to Malton.

Dickie’s was previously based in The Whole Hogg Farm Shop and Tearoom near Low Marishes and in Huntington, York.

Last month its owner Richard Brookes, 38, from North Grimston, decided to move to Railway Street above Ralph Yates and Sons.

Sam Prest, 29, from Malton, joined the business in 2023 after 10 years in the hospitality trade.

Since the move the pair said the feedback from customers has been “fantastic” and made the “hard work worth it”.

In the coming months, Dickie’s plans to release merchandise and its own branded hair products. 

The business previously won a Minster FM award for barbering.

It offer all aspects of traditional and modern barbering with appointments by walk in or appointment booked via its website.
