Jon Hardacre took this Photo of the Week a Waxwing in Pickering.
He said: "At the moment there are good numbers of Waxwing in Pickering, Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley. These birds are visitors from Scandinavia and this year in Ryedale we have been lucky to have good numbers due to what is called an ‘irruption.’
"This is probably due to a berry shortage in Scandinavian countries. However, we do not get these charming visitors every year. So while you can enjoy these special visitors to Ryedale."
