SHERBURN village show was held on Saturday with a wide selection of entries.
A spokesperson said: "We wish to thank everyone who entered and visited our little show, the support we get makes it all worth while. A big thank you to all the judges, to Lilly’s sandwiches and Bakery for our delicious lunches and to all the amazing individuals who helped to set up, tidy up and assist on the day. All proceeds go towards purchasing the Christmas tree and bulbs planted around the village."
Trophy Winners:
Stephen Walker Memorial Cup for the most points in show: Col Pickard.
Sherburn Parish Council Cup for the most points in the Handicraft Section: Maureen Metcalfe.
East Riding Pub Trophy for the Biggest Individual Potato: Col Pickard.
Best Baking Cup for the most points in the baking section: Barbara Grice.
Best Victoria Sponge Cup: Malc Simms.
Best Photograph in show Cup: Paul Mattinson.
The Denis Brown Cup for the most potatoes on one root: Steve Mudd.
Sherburn C of E Cup for the best exhibit in the Children’s Section: Aubree Pickering.
