A bench has been dedicated to Dave Cowton, a well-known local cricket player, at Thornton le Dale Cricket Club.
Pictured on the new bench are Dave's wife, Christine Cowton, and their son, Neil.
The club provided the bench in memory of Dave, who was an outstanding cricketer and played for both Pickering and Thornton Dale.
Surrounding Christine and Neil are young cricketers from the Allstars and Dynamos teams, proudly displaying their medals.
These children recently completed an eight-week coaching course led by head junior coach Tom Snowden and three other qualified coaches.
The club hopes that some of these talented young players will become future stars for the team.
