The Driffield Agricultural Society are honoured to be able to announce that Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Edinburgh, who was elected as the Society’s President in February will be attending the 2023 Driffield Show.

David Tite, Chief Executive Officer of the Driffield Agricultural Society said: "Everyone involved with the Society and the Driffield Show are delighted and extremely honoured that the Duchess will be joining us for the 147th Driffield Show. The Duchess is a great supporter of the agricultural show industry and we are very much looking forward to Her Royal Highness being with us on the day."

The Duchess is the patron of over 70 charities and organisations, including Childline and the London College of Fashion. She undertakes over 200 engagements each year, including visits to schools, universities and military bases. Her charity work primarily revolves around people with disabilities, women's rights, avoidable blindness and agriculture.

Her involvement in agriculture extends to her currently being the Patron of the ASAO (Agricultural Show and Agricultural Organisations) of which the Driffield Agricultural Society is a member. This year the Driffield Agricultural Society will be celebrating its 147th Driffield Show which will take place on Wednesday, July- 19.
