A North Yorkshire café has been recognized as one of the top 10 per cent of listings on Tripadvisor, earning a prestigious Travellers' Choice Award.

The award is a testament to the consistently positive reviews and ratings received by the café, making it a favourite among visitors.

Mandy Avison, co-founder of Cedarbarn Farm Café, said: "Travellers' Choice award-winners are among the top 10 per cent of listings on Tripadvisor, so we're naturally delighted to be part of such an elite group.

"It's a real credit to our café team, led by manager, Louise Coverdale."

According to Tripadvisor, Cedarbarn Farm Café currently ranks 10th out of 42 restaurants in Pickering.

87 per cent of its reviews are of four and five-star reviews combined.

The selection process for the Travellers' Choice Awards takes into account the quality and quantity of reviews and ratings posted by travellers on Tripadvisor over a 12-month period.

Eligible properties, businesses, destinations, or points of interest must have been listed on Tripadvisor for at least a year, received a minimum number of reviews during the evaluation period, and maintained a minimum bubble rating on Tripadvisor.

Cedarbarn Farm Shop and Café has come a long way from its humble beginnings as a small pick-your-own strawberries operation run out of a caravan 26 years ago.

Today, it is a thriving farm shop and café that prides itself on sourcing a significant portion of its produce from its own farm and a neighbouring farm, supplemented by local suppliers.
