Saint Catherine’s Hospice is inviting everyone to their Summer Festival for a day of activities, live music, and Star Wars.

The event, on Saturday, July 8, between 10am to 3pm, will be the first held at the hospice's primary site on Throxenby Lane since the pandemic.

Admission is free, and attendees can enjoy a wide range of activities, stalls, and entertainment on the day.

There will be something for everyone, with crafts, gifts, food, bouncy castles, and live music.

Characters from the Star Wars Universe will also make an appearance.

Marketing and Communications Lead Tom Thornton expressed his excitement about returning to the hospice event.

He said: “We are thrilled that we can welcome back supporters to what will be our first event on site since the pandemic.

"Our markets and fayres have proved very popular in previous years and we hope to see lots of familiar and new faces on the day to enjoy this wonderful event.

“There will be a mix of things for everyone on the day, such as a live performance from the cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang of the YMCA, flower demonstrations and a large selection of gift stalls."

Free parking will also be available at the grounds of the old Scarborough TEC site on Lady Edith’s Drive.

Saint Catherine's Hospice provides free care and support for adults with terminal illnesses and their families, and relies on the work of its supporters and donors to raise the £5 million needed for its specialist services.
