Kirkbymoorside Primary School Summer Fair is set to offer a range of fun activities and exciting prizes this coming Saturday.

The fair is one of the main fundraising events for the school and has been organised by the Friends of Kirkbymoorside School, a small charity run by parents of pupils at the school.

Local businesses have generously supported the event by providing over 20 prizes for the raffle, including vouchers for top local attractions such as Flamingo Land and North Yorkshire Water Park, as well as cash prizes and passes for North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Angela Collier, chairwoman of the Friends of Kirkbymoorside School, who organise the event, said: “The fair is one of the main fundraising events for the school and this Saturday’s event will be the first one in four years, so excitement is running high.”

In addition to traditional favourites such as tombolas and face painting, visitors can look forward to an inflatable obstacle course and the chance to meet and greet visiting llamas.

Money raised from previous events has enabled the Friends of Kirkbymoorside School to provide outdoor play equipment, swimming lessons and transportation for school trips.

Entry to the fair is free, and there will be a BBQ and plenty of refreshments available, as well as stalls selling sweets and plants.

Come along and enjoy the fun and prizes on offer at Kirkbymoorside Primary School Summer Fair this Saturday, July 1, 12-2pm.
