Malton Fire Station is offering free home visits to help householders protect them from the risk of fire.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (NYFRS) offer free Safe and Well visits.
These visits are carried out by firefighters, or the service’s Community Safety Officers.
A spokesperson for Malton Fire Station said: "During the visit we can provide information on fire safety, keeping safe within your home and we can even fit smoke alarms to keep you and your family safe.
