DRIVERS in and around Ryedale will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A64, from 9.30am March 6 to 3.30pm March 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Hopgrove to Whitewell, traffic signals for general cleaning and maintenance.

• A64, from 8pm February 20 to 6am April 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Claxton, traffic signals for drainage works.
