MULTIPLE properties in a Ryedale village have been left without power – as temperatures drop in the district.
According to Northern Powergrid, 10 properties in Welburn, near Kirkbymoorside, have lost power.
A spokesperson for the company said power is due to be restored at 12.30pm.
They said the power cut has been caused by an “unexpected problem with the cables or equipment” in the area.
Anyone who needs to report an emergency due to the power cut, is urged to do so by calling 105.
The power cut comes as temperatures across the district drop, with snow falling this morning.
In Welburn, BBC Weather, in association with MeteoGroup, is predicting a temperature of 3C.
Wellburn Hall School has closed today during the weather.
