A NEW restaurant is set to open in the centre of Malton – and its new look has been revealed.

As reported by the Gazette & Herald, Pizza on the Square by SALT is opening in the grade II listed Old Town Hall building previously occupied by Stew & Oyster.

The new restaurant opens tomorrow (February 24) at 12pm.

Before the grand opening, the restaurant has revealed its new look to customers.

Inside cool colours and modern décor meets diners, with big open windows providing natural lighting all round.

The grade II listed stone work has been left bare showcasing the building's core, which has been a staple in the town for hundreds of years.

This building was previously the town hall and also housed Malton Museum.

The new restaurant’s pizza menu will be complemented with a selection of Italian-style sandwiches, sides, cakes and brownies.

Both table bookings and walk-ins are welcome, whilst a private area is also available for private events and special occasions.
