POLICE have issued an appeal for information after a vehicle crashed into a parked pick-up truck in a Ryedale town.

The incident happened in Pickering Market Place outside Barclays Bank at around 9pm on Thursday, February 9.

It involved a small silver vehicle crashing into a parked 4x4 Ford Ranger.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said the Ranger “sustained large amounts of damage, mainly to the driver’s door”.

Now, the force is appealing for information about the driver of the silver vehicle who is believed to have been a woman.

The spokesperson added: “We're requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident.
