POLICE have issued a warning following a string of scam calls in Ryedale.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said the hoax caller claims to be acting on behalf of Ryedale District Council, but is in fact a scam.
They urged anyone who receives one of the calls to report it to the police on 101.

A spokesperson for Ryedale District Council added: “The council doesn’t endorse any companies whatsoever, so please be wary of calls claiming this and report to the police.”
