Ryedale Lions and The Rotary Club of Pickering joined forces to support a special visit to the town's pantomime.

The Clubs supplied tickets for a range of organisations and groups to enable them to invite people to  Pickering Musical Society’s pantoJack and the Beanstalk at the Kirk Theatre as a treat.

Altogether 80 tickets were distributed to schools and other recipients included Pickering Youth Club , Next Steps, Pickering Foodshare , Young Carers and Ukranian families.

Ryedale Lions Service Director, Andrew Mansfield, said: “ It is fantastic when service organisations can work together to provide such a treat , the show was enjoyed by everyone and we have had many messages of thanks since. Our special thanks go to Pickering Musical Society and the Kirk Theatre for the opportunity for such a rewarding afternoon.”

The visit to the pantomime is also part of an ongoing initiative between Ryedale Lions and the Kirk Theatre providing opportunity for vulnerable , isolated and disadvantage people and groups to attend cinema and theatre performances.
