A GROUP in Pickering is offering boxes in a bid to home much-loved birds across the town.
The Pickering Swifts group was formed last year (2022), and is inviting residents in the town the chance to purchase bird boxes for swifts.
Last year the group successfully organised 50 boxes to be put up across Pickering, and has launched the same service this year,
Swifts are medium-sized aerial birds, similar to swallows – and are known for their flying abilities.

The boxes are available for £15, and, in most cases, the Pickering Swifts can arrange for their installation.
