A YOUNG farmers group is to offer Christmas tree collections across Ryedale – with the money raised going to a good cause.

Kirkbymoorside Young Farmers Club is offer Christmas tree collections, raising funds for ‘Kick Rexi Out.’

Kick Rexi Out is a support group for eating disorders.

As reported by the Gazette and Herald, parents Donna and Paul Foster set up Kick Rexi Out after one of their daughters was diagnosed with anorexia earlier this year.

The group aims to raise awareness of the early stages of an eating disorder so signs can be spotted straight away.

It provides emotional and physical support to families in the Ryedale area who are caring for a child or young adult up to the age of 25 years old in the early stages of an eating disorder.

The Christmas tree collections cover Nawton Beadlam, Kirkbymoorside, Wrelton, Pickering and all surrounding villages including Welburn, Gillamoor, Marton, Sinnington and more.

Collections will take place on January 7 and 8, 2023.

They are priced at £5 per tree or £2 for a miniature tree.
