THE first snow of winter is being forecast for Ryedale tonight (December 7).
BBC Weather, in association with MeteoGroup, is predicting light snow showers from 11pm.
They will be carried in on a cold gentle breeze from the northwest.
Forecasters have said these snow showers will continue until 6am tomorrow morning (December 8).
These showers are expected to return from 1pm tomorrow afternoon, getting heavier from 2pm, with sleet showers continuing until mid-night on December 9.
