A HOTEL in a Ryedale town has raised a considerable amount of money for a well-known children’s charity.
The Premier Inn, in Pickering, raised £795.54 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, through a Halloween family fun day event held on October 30.
On the day there were costumes, games, stalls, photo booths, a raffle, and more.
Local businesses, including the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and The Chocolate Factory, contributed to the raffle.

Tickets were sold for the event, with proceeds going to the charity.
The event was organised by Jade Saunders and Lindsey Roberts, who are night-shift employees at the Pickering hotel.
Jade said: “We just want to say a huge thank you to everyone involved and for those that purchased tickets, an amazing turn out with over 100 people!
“A special shout out to the local companies for donating prizes for our raffle.”
Planning for the hotel’s Christmas event is now underway, with tickets to go on sale on December 18.
