Police have confirmed that the road has reopened.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "The A169 between Saltersgate Bank and Goathland turn off has now re-opened following the road traffic collision this morning.
"Thank you for your patience."

Motorists are being asked to find an alternative route following a serious crash this morning (Wednesday) on the A169.
The A169 is currently closed between Pickering and Whitby.
A police spokesperson said: "We received reports of a road traffic collision on the A169 near RAF Fylingdales at 07.42am this morning
"The A169 is expected to remain closed for some time. We currently have a local diversion in place but we're asking HGVs to avoid the area.
"Anyone who has witnessed the collision is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask for the Force Control Room.
