TWO businesses based in Ryedale have joined forces to create summer recipes that celebrate the best of Yorkshire produce.

The team at Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil (YRO), based in Thixendale, have partnered with The Yorkshire Pasta Company, based in Malton, to produce the recipes.

Dishes include lemony courgette, caper and herb pasta salad, roasted aubergine, olive and tomato pasta, and baked seafood tortiglioni and cheese.

YSO’s marketing manager, Jennie Palmer, said: "Here at YRO, we're passionate about introducing our customers to other fabulous Yorkshire producers.

“We love (The Yorkshire Pasta Company’s) passion for provenance, their desire to bring artisanal pasta making to Yorkshire and their recyclable paper packaging."

Kathryn Bumby, from The Yorkshire Pasta Company, said: "It was great to taste the recipes created by the team at Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil and know  that they put as much love, care and passion into their products as we do - you really can taste it in the dishes.

"We particularly loved the lemony courgette, caper and herb pasta salad that is made using Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil's new Yorkshire mayonnaise with lemon and will be our go to supper dish this summer."
