A POPULAR music group will take to the stage this weekend.
The Scarborough Spa Orchestra will start its summer season this Sunday (July 10) with a performance in the Spa Grand Hall, Scarborough, at 7.45pm.
They will be presented by well-known musical director Paul Laidlaw.
Over the next 10 weeks the orchestra will play eight different concert each week.
The orchestra, will play a range of music which is said to appeal to the whole family.
A spokesperson for Scarborough Spa Orchestra said: “The Spa music library is so extensive that there will only be a repeated piece in the first four weeks if there had been a special request from a member of the audience.
“The music is bright and breezy, very much on the lighter side with songs from the shows, lilting waltzes, jaunty marches, dance band classics and plenty of novelty pieces.
“Throughout the summer, it’s musical entertainment all the way with the UK's only remaining professional seaside orchestra: the Legendary Scarborough Spa Orchestra.”
