FIRE crews were on the scene at a fire to a 100 tonne muck heap at Brompton by Sawdon, near Scarborough.
Crews from Sherburn and Scarborough attended the fire at 5.56pm last night (July 6).
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said
“Hose reel jets along with a tractor to spread the heap out were used to extinguish the fire.”
