A MALTON based soap and skincare company has restarted its work experience programme.
Cosy Cottage Soap, on Market Place in Malton, has restarted its collaboration with the Croft Community, to provide work opportunities for community members.
The Croft Community, in Highfield Road, Old Malton, supports adults with learning difficulties and is part of the Camphill Village Trust.
Ahead of the programme, Cosy Cottage Soap provided full guidance to community members, as well as the necessary equipment, materials and packaging for use in their own workshop.
With full support and encouragement from the Malton store, residents have produced cocoa butter bath melts for sale.
Clara Challoner Walker, founder of Cosy Cottage Soap, said: “After having to pause our wonderful partnership because of the pandemic, we are thrilled to be working with team members from the Croft Community.
“Better still was receiving a first delivery of our popular cocoa butter bath melts expertly hand-made by the team at the Croft Community.
“We hope to build on the success of the partnership and develop opportunities for residents to help in the store with product displays and other selected tasks in the workshop.”
