An artisan bakery wins gold award at top show in Birmingham.
The Original Baker, based in Malton, featured at the Farm Shop and Deli Show at the NEC in Birmingham between April 25 and April 27.
The bakery’s Artisan Steak and Ale Pie was entered in the show’s Product Awards category where it won the Gold award.
The team said they were “thrilled to have their quality product recognised by a board of external, knowledgeable judges.”
The Original Baker also showcased a selection of handcrafted pastries, pies, and sausage rolls, which were enjoyed by other exhibitors and visitors.
Their product range is currently expanding – they now offer a sweet selection as well as their savoury range.
The team also expect to launch an online shop soon where consumers can purchase products to bake at home.
