The Ladies section at Malton and Norton Golf Club were pleased to present cheques of £950 each to two local charities from their fundraising activities over 2021.
Past Captain Barbara Machin chose Acorn Community Care and York Against Cancer to donate the funds to.
Representatives from Acorn Community Care based in Norton, who provide services to people with learning difficulties, and York Against Cancer who provide support to patients and families undergoing cancer treatments, were delighted to receive the money.
Both organisations will use the money to improve services to their clients.
Barbara said she chose the two local charities for the valuable work they do and said that everyone had been very generous.
