Over 100 people attended the Ryedale job fair with several walking away with jobs on the day.
The event, organised by Ryedale District Council (RDC) and the Job Centre, saw four people offered jobs on the spot.
Several employers from the area attended including Derwent Training Association, Flamingo Land, Karro, Saint Cecilia’s Care Group, Cooplands, Swinton Technology, Cranswick, Pro Pak, Severfield, Forest Holidays and The Wilf Ward Family Trust.
Phillip Spurr, Programme Director of Place and Resources for RDC, said: “The job fair was a great success in moving towards this vision, and it is fantastic that people were offered jobs then and there.”
