A MAN has been found dead in a caravan.
North Yorkshire Police have put out an appeal to try and find the family of 68-year-old David Tomkins who was found dead at his home in Newby Wiske on Tuesday (October 19).
Mr Tomkins was living in a caravan at Wathstones Farm in the village near Thirsk.
A police spokesman said: "Mr Tomkins' body was found when his neighbour raised concerns to the police. His death is not being treated as suspicious.
"It is thought Mr Tomkins may have previously been in the Armed Forces.
