A MAN who was arrested in connection with a fatal incident on a major road yesterday has now been released under investigation, police have confirmed.
The 22-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the fatal collision which occurred on the A1 in the early hours of yesterday (October 18), has been released under investigation pending further enquiries, North Yorkshire Police said.
The incident happened on the south-bound carriage way of the A1 near Leeming Bar at 2.20am and involved three vehicles.
Police have re-issued the appeal for support from the public. Anyone who witnessed the collision, has any dashcam footage, or who was travelling in the area at the time is asked to save and preserve any footage and contact police.
