A FARMER had to be air lifted to hospital after becoming ill while driving a tractor.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue say they were called out at 2.39pm yesterday (October 14) to High Lane in Beadlam near Kirkbymoorside in Rydale.
A spokesman for the service said: "Crews were called to assist the Ambulance Service with the extrication of a man from the cab of a tractor.
"They used crew power to assist and the man was taken to hospital by air ambulance."
The man's condition is not known at this time.
