POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a vehicle was vandalised while parked in a driveway.

North Yorkshire Police say they are appealing for witnesses and information about damage to a vehicle that was parked on a residential driveway in Thornton-le-Dale.

A police spokesman said: "The incident occurred at sometime overnight between Wednesday and Thursday, September 15 and 16.

"All four tyres of the vehicle were damaged as it was parked on the driveway of a private property near to Maltongate.

"Officers are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

"Anyone who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area, or who has any information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask to speak to Louise Neville-Beck.
